As the whole globe is celebrating World Quantum Day, OneQuantum Africa (OQA) is organizing a special event where we showcase the current status of developing the quantum technologies roadmaps. As well as emphasizing the efforts that have been made already towards building a sustainable quantum ecosystem across the continent.

OQA is inviting quantum scientists, engineers, educators, communicators, entrepreneurs, technologists, students to join the panel discussions with a focus on what needs to be done to harness the distributed strength of Africa and leverage emerging technologies to drive prosperity for all in our continent.

In this conversation, the panelists may share their opinion about the role of the enterprises and entrepreneurs to overcome the Quantum barriers. Also the discussion may cover how to engage professionals from universities to construct the QIS & Academic plans normalized across the continent to form an equal and prosperous education.

The goal is to familiarize the public with the lessons learnt building and participating in tech communities in Africa, the challenges that stand against partnerships and collaborations, and also identify ways to address them. Hence, sharing creative ideas on how to engage the public in this emerging field, since quantum is coming and we better be prepared.

Organisers: Lorraine Tsitsi Majiri, AbdulMalek Baitulmal, Phumzile Madonsela, Dorcas Attuabea Addo, Shannon Mujera, Gibbs Nwemadji, Mainza Kangombe, Afam Daniel Madu
