SMART-X is a Marie-Curie ITN for the study of carrier transport in materials by time-resolved spectroscopy with ultrashort soft X-ray light. The network consists of 15 early-stage researchers with the support provided by eight world-leading academic institutions, two large-scale facilities and two high-tech companies. Together with Optica (formerly OSA), we have been actively organizing events in promoting sciences to General Public, Equality and Diversity in STEM, and various workshops on related topics. So, we are celebrating World Quantum Day with a hybrid event live from Sorbonne University in Paris or online, inviting five leading scientists in the field of quantum optics for talks and a roundtable discussion. The event will be held in English and it's for physics and chemistry students of all levels!
