Prof. Christian Ospelkaus reports on recent advances in quantum technologies, paving the way to a fully operational quantum computer. The Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS) cooperates with local universities, research centres and companies to realise a 50 qubit quantum computer based on ion traps. The required basic technologies are being developed and tested in the Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers and other third-party-funded consortium projects.

Organisers: Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS), Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers, Collaborative Research Center DQ-mat
